Crankshafts

 

 

At G & A Equipment and Machine, crankshafts are checked and inspected to make sure the casting is acceptable for a rebuild.

 

We perform a wet magnetic particle inspection on the crankshaft.

Once the crankshaft has passed this process we then check all the critical dimensions required by the manufacturer such as bend, radii, hardness, bolt holes, dowel holes, and seal areas.

 

Should your crankshaft have sufficient wear on the journals we can grind the rod and/or main journals undersize.

 

Additional repairs could include timing keyway repairs, gear replacement and seal area repairs involving the spray metalizing process.
